Driveclub has just received two new videos that show off in a quite amusing way how the club and challenge mechanics work and why they're important for players to rank up and become racing superstars.

Driveclub is set to debut this October and, after a rather lengthy delay, things seems to be on track for the racing game's launch on the PlayStation 4 later this year.

In order to keep players excited about the new experience, Evolution Studios and Sony have released two stylized videos on the PS blog that present in simple terms how two crucial mechanics work in Driveclub, the Clubs and the Challenges.

First up, like the name of the game suggests, players are invited to create their own racing clubs so that they can share achievements, Fame points, and accolades when racing throughout the campaign. There's a lot of incentive to do so as plenty of advantages are offered to players who team up.

The Challenges system, however, ensures that players get a sense of achievement and progression even if they're not the first one across the finish line. In the game, each track is split into different sections that emphasize one sort of driving prowess, from drifting, to high speed, and so on. If you beat the opponents in terms of that criteria, then you earn fame and can even send the challenge to your friends and rivals in order for them to beat you.

Check out the two great videos below.
