After releasing better financial results which showed it making a profit during the last fiscal quarter, which ended on March 31, Electronic Arts has been looking to the future, confirming that it plans to put out a new game set in the Dragon Age universe before March 31, 2011, when the current fiscal year ends. The company says the space-based third person horror shooter Dead Space 2 will come out during the same period.

The Electronic Arts documents are also talking about a similar launch period for Bulletstorm, the over the top shooter coming from Epic Games and the People Can Fly studio, a new Need for Speed title, which is set to be unveiled for the gaming world at the upcoming E3 show, a new fighting title, which could be Fight Night Round 5 or a new MMA entry, a new Sims title and a new Spore title, probably the newly spotted Darkspore spin off.

This fall will see Electronic Arts aiming to regain the first place when it comes to sales of first person shooters, launching the new iteration of Medal of Honor and Crysis 2, which arrives for the first time on consoles, but players will also be able to engage in a game of NBA Jam and experience a new adventure based around Harry Potter, at the same time as the new film starring the wizard arrives.

At its E3 presentation, Electronic Arts plans to also show off the changes coming to FIFA 11, also set for an autumn launch date, and the line up of titles aimed at Project Natal and the PlayStation Move, the motion tracking peripherals for the Xbox 360 and the PS3.

One piece of bad news is that The Old Republic, the Star Wars based MMO which BioWare is working on, is shown as coming at some point in the 2011 fiscal year, which means more than one year from now.
