Video game developer BioWare has announced that it will be launching more downloadable content in the coming months for its mix between action and role playing Dragon Age II, aiming to address more of the critics that Origins fans have leveled at the second title in the series.

Speaking to IndustryGamers Ray Muzyka, who is one of the co-founders of BioWare, has said that, “We have some more DLC plans, that actually address some of the feedback from some of our core fans. I think that’s going to be really satisfying to fans who liked Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2.”

He added, “Maybe some of that can be attributed to some of the fans of Dragon Age: Origins who were maybe expecting a similar experience. But we actually innovated, we took a lot of risk, we were pushing the envelope on how we told the story, the gameplay, the action moments, the graphics – a lot of things were changed. And, actually, I really believe it was the right direction.”

The company leader has once again praised the development team that worked on Dragon Age II, making it clear that the game turned out like the company wanted and that all its problems were design decisions made early in the creation process.

The recently released Legacy DLC is designed to explore the past of the Hawke family and reveal information about the main characters that better explains some of the choices presented in the main game.

The new content also includes a number of new locations to explore, addressing the lack of variety of the original Dragon Age II release.

At the moment BioWare is working hard to finish both the MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic and Mass Effect 3 but another Dragon Age game is certainly in the early stages of development.
