Holidays are coming and
Activision wants to offer players all over the world some things to be happy about . And since everybody gets really excited when it comes to gifts, a free downloadable track for the
Guitar Hero: Legends of Rock fans out there should do the trick.
An exclusive rock rendition of the holiday classic "We Three Kings," recorded by Steve Ouimette comes for free, while Linkin Park, Mastadon and The Used will be available as a track pack and other single song downloads will be possible, too, including European bands such as Extremoduro, Trust and Die Fantastischen Vier. The downloads will be
available for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Yup, you've heard it right! Linking Park comes to Guitar Hero!
Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock contains new content and features including a multiplayer battle mode, grueling boss battles, a host of exclusive unlockable content and visually stunning rock venues. Expanded online multiplayer game modes allow axe-shredders worldwide to compete head-to-head for true rock status and gain access to groupies, as any true rock star should do.
The game features a soundtrack including tracks by legendary artists such as Aerosmith, Guns 'N' Roses, The Rolling Stones, Beastie Boys, Rage Against the Machine and Pearl Jam, as well as original songs by Slash and Tom Morello. While continuing to retain all the key features from their prior performances, fresh downloadable content will be available on multiple platforms in order to ensure that the players will be able to create unique set lists, according to their tastes.
The Track Pack will be available this December, and it includes recordings of "No More Sorrow," by Linkin Park, "Sleeping Giant," by Mastadon and "Pretty Handsome Awkward," by The Used. The single song downloads offer singles as "So Payaso," from Extremoduro, "Antisocial" from Trust, and "Ernten Was Wir Säen" from Die Fantastischen Vier. And, of course, the free Steve Ouimette track.
