Blizzard has implemented a new series of hotfixes into Diablo 3, affecting quite a few abilities for the Monk, Demon Hunter, and Wizard classes, “nerfing” (worsening) their actual powers.
has been out for over a week and already many players have taken their characters to the maximum of level 60 and have begun beating the game’s tougher difficulty modes, including Inferno, with their favorite classes
Now, after implementing a hotfix earlier this week that affected the Monk
character, Blizzard has revealed a few more changes that are already available in Diablo 3, which also affect the Demon Hunter and Wizard classes.
First up, the Demon Hunter’s Smoke Screen has been severely worsened, as the character becomes invisible only for a second, and not for 2, as was the case in the original version of the game.
The Wizard’s Arcane Torrent and Energy Armor spells have also been affected, as certain runes for each power are now much worse.
The Monk received another decrease in power, this time for its Fists of Thunder ability.
Check out the new hotfixes for Diablo 3 below.
Duration reduced from 2 seconds to 1 second (tooltip will still show 2 seconds)
Skill Rune - Lingering Fog
Now increases the duration of Smoke Screen to 1.5 seconds (tooltip will still show 3 seconds)
Skill Rune - Cascade
Fixed an issue that was causing Arcane Torrent to fire 3 new missiles per kill instead of only 1 new missile per kill
Number of simultaneously missiles generated from this rune will now cap at 10 missiles
Skill Rune - Force Armor
Amount of damage absorbed from a single attack will now cap at 100% of a player’s maximum Life
Fists of Thunder
Skill Rune - Quickening
Fixed an issue that was causing spirit regeneration to incorrectly trigger off critical hits from other sources, such as Sweeping Wind
Mantra of Healing
Mantra of Healing will now correctly provide only two times the base healing effect for the first 3 seconds after activation, down from four times the base healing effect (tooltip will still show the old value)
Skill Rune - Boon of Protection
A maximum absorption amount has been set to 1000 Life. This skill will be redesigned in an upcoming patch.
Blizzard is expected to keep on releasing hotfixes for Diablo 3 ahead of the first major update that will come out in the near future.
