Round Rock, Texas-based Dell has decided it was about time it brought something new to its offering of desktop and portable computer systems – consequently, a recently made announcement says that the company will allow customers to customize their Dell systems with an exclusive pre-installed movie bundle, and enjoy personalized entertainment right out of the box. The announcement coincides with the DVD release of “Iron Man,” the movie that will also be available for Dell's customers through one of the company's dedicated pages.

“Dell continues to create ways to express an individual’s personal style through the devices they choose,” said Tim Bucher, Dell’s vice president of Consumer Content and Services. “By teaming up with entertainment industry icons like Paramount Digital Entertainment to deliver pre-loaded entertainment content like ‘Iron Man,’ we continue to raise the bar in offering unmatched choice, value and design that catches the eye as well as the imagination.”

The deal between the systems vendor and industry giant Paramount Digital Entertainment will allow Dell's potential customers to personalize their Dell system of choice with yet another exclusive feature, in addition to the ones related to the system’s CPU, storage and even design. Practically, for an additional US$20 to the total price tag of the computer system, Dell users will be able to enjoy one of the most successful movie released this year, straight out-of-the box.

“Paramount Digital Entertainment is excited to be working with Dell to offer consumers great movie content like Iron Man and other movie packages through Dell’s powerful distribution and personalization platform,” said Malik Ducard, Paramount’s vice president of Digital Distribution for North America. “Our respective businesses answer to the consumer, and we are pleased to do just that with such an innovative and forward-thinking company.”

Dell has also announced that it plans to continue to further expand the entertainment selection, and to bring a refresh to its offerings by including some of the most recent and exciting Hollywood blockbusters, as well as more of the classic movies.
