New Dead or Alive 5 Screenshots Show Off Ayane and Hitomi

Team Ninja has just presented a batch of new screenshots from its upcoming Dead or Alive 5 fighting game and, even if they don’t exactly portray actual gameplay, we’re more than pleased to see two fan favorites, Ayane and Hitomi, battling for supremacy.

The Dead or Alive franchise has been dormant for quite some time, largely because Team Ninja focused on other projects, including the popular Ninja Gaiden series of hack and slash titles.

Now, the studio is working on quite a few projects at the same time, including Ninja Gaiden 3 and its PS Vita spinoff Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus, but also Dead or Alive 5, which is set to deliver “fighting entertainment.”

After enjoying an explosive gameplay video, several new screenshots have now appeared, via Kotaku, presenting a battle between Ayane and Hitomi, two of Dead or Alive’s most lovely female fighters.
