Young actress spills the beans on who else will threaten The Bat in upcoming film

While it's to be expected for filmmakers to strive to keep details of their upcoming projects under wraps, Chris Nolan is known for being more secretive than most. This probably means he's not too happy about the spoiler one of his stars offered to the press on a silver platter.

“The Dark Knight Rises” will have Bane as a villain, that much is clear both from promo materials and the footage made available so far.

However, Bane isn't the only baddie to threaten The Bat and, at the same time, Gotham and its people, it has emerged.

Joey King, a 12-year-old actress said to bear a very striking resemblance to Marion Cotillard, whose role hasn't been explained yet, unwillingly revealed the film's other villain in a new interview cited by Batman News.

“It was so cool, I had an amazing time. I got to travel to places I’d never been to before. Christopher Nolan is so nice, so is Christian Bale. I just had the best time,” she says of having the chance to be part of one of the biggest and most anticipated movies of our times.

Asked what role she played, she says, “I play young Talia al Ghul. I can’t give too much away because I promised Mr. Nolan I wouldn’t say anything. There are too many secrets about the character and the movie.”

Talia al Ghul, for those who haven't guessed it, is the daughter of Ra’s al Ghul, played by Liam Neeson in “Batman Begins,” the man who modeled Bruce Wayne into Batman, in one way or another.

This can only mean that Marion Cotillard will play the adult Talia, which means she's the second villain in TDKR – or third, if we also count Catwoman, whose allegiance might shift at one point.

“The Dark Knight Rises” is scheduled for theatrical release on July 20, 2012.
