Konami Digital Entertainment has announced that is preparing a new Dance Dance Revolution titles that will arrive exclusively on the Nintendo Wii and will deliver more music and new game modes designed to make it the most attractive dancing simulation on the market.

The mat will remain at the center of the gaming experience in the new Dance Dance Revolution title but Konami says that the newly announced Choreographer mode will allow players to have more freedom to perform moves while also expanding the range of the simulation.

The body of the player, the mat controller, the Wii Remote, the Nunchuk add on and even the Balance Board can be used to provide input for the video games for more nuance than ever.

Konami also says that up to four players will be able to take part in a new multiplayer mode that focuses on dance moves for the upper body of the gamer.

There are 30 music tracks that will provide the background to the dancing, with different tracks suited to both beginners and expert players.

Shinji Hirano, President of Konami Digital Entertainment stated, "Dance Dance Revolution is back and better than ever, combining entertaining and physically engaging gameplay with all of Nintendo Wii’s interactive capabilities. The newest addition to the DanceDanceRevolution family will offer fans the complete DanceDanceRevolution package full of movement, fitness and fun.”

Dancing seems to become the new trend in video gaming, especially now with the imminent introduction of new motion tracking systems, the Kinect for the Microsoft made Xbox 360 and the PlayStation Move for the Sony home console.

The Harmonix made Dance Central is seen as being the killer application for Kinect, with its ability of following a player as he performs a full dance routine while SingStar and Dance will offer some of the same possibilities on the PlayStation 3.
