Creative seems to have become extremely active over the past couple of months, the company releasing a very large number of new and interesting products, the latest to join their lineup being the ZiiEagle Movie Box HD Media player that contains The Complete Celestial's Shaw Brothers Film Collection of 668 fully restored and digitally re-mastered movies.

Powered by the ZMS-05 HD Media-Rich Applications Processor, the ZiiEagle Movie Box is an innovative HDMI plug-and-play home entertainment device that lets viewers access an entire movie or video collections legitimately at literally one touch of a button.

Designed with ease of use in mind, the Movie Box's built-in features, such as its easy navigation, special search and play functions (4-Digit Movies, Dream List, Dreamscape One-Touch-Play), parental lock and 100 bookmarks per movie, making it very convenient and safe for viewers to select and enjoy any desired movie, or simply sit back and let the Movie Box randomly select and play a movie in the category of the viewer's choice at one touch of a button.

Apart from easy navigation and selection of movies, meticulous efforts have also been put into developing a passcode-enabled locking mechanism for locking any movie in the Movie Box, with movies classified NC16 and above locked by default - a technological innovation trademarked by Creative.

Unfortunately, though, the device only delivers 720p (1280×720) HDMI video output, which is not exactly great, at least according to today's standards.

However, what the device lacks in resolution it makes up for in terms of pre-loaded content, as the Movie Box comes packed with no less that 668 classic Chinese movies, provided by Creative's content partner, the Shaw Brothers Film Library.

Additionally, the ZiiEagle Movie Box is accompanied by the ZiiEagle Moviepedia guide book, that provides very interesting info on the content stored within the device from Creative, the whole package selling from somewhere in the vicinity of 1,070 US dollars.
