A new update for Cowon's AW1 auto capsule is now available for download. Version 2.5.0 fixes sporadic errors of Camera Auto Exposure, improves the function of Shutdown Timer for Parking Recording and G sensor sensitivity for detection of Driving or Parking Recording Mode and adds a new setting for “Press Button for Sound Recording” function.

Along with these changes, various bugs have been fixed.

To install it, download the new Cowon AW1 Auto Capsule Firmware 2.5.0 and extract the contents of the archive to an accessible location.

Prepare a formatted microSD card and copy the “update.bin” file to its root folder. Safely remove the device and proceed to your dashcam.

Insert the card in your unplugged AW1, start the ignition and then connect the power jack to the unit. The firmware update will now begin. Don't turn off the ignition or force close the device during the installation.

When setup completes, the dashcam will restart and Voice Guide will speak “Starting driving recording.”

Get the latest firmware for your auto capsule, install it and stay “updated one minute ago.”
