The huge popularity enjoyed by Apple's iMac systems has lead to a serious surge in the field of AIO (all-in-one) PC systems, many such product making their way onto the market over the past couple of years, the latest we've come across being the Acer Aspire AZ3750-A34D, that has just been unveiled by the famous computer manufacturer on the US market.

First and foremost, we'll have to say that the new AIO is quite an elegant machine, featuring a relatively thin form factor and good quality finishing, albeit that relatively large-size speaker mounted underneath the display might represent a (visual) problem for some people.

Moving now to the tech specs, well first have to point out that the Aspire AZ3750-A34D comes with a 21-inch 1080p (1920x1080) LCD panel, which also has a fast 5ms response rate, meaning that it can be used both for multimedia playback and some gaming (apart from office work, of course).

However, don't expect to achieve some impressive feats in that last department, since it's only powered by integrated Intel HD graphics.

At the center of the system we encounter the Intel Core i3-550 3.2Ghz, which can be matched with up to 8GB of DDR3-1333MHz SDRAM, a 500GB 7200rpm hard drive, MMC/SD/xD/MS card slot, DVD Super Multi Player, Wireless LAN IEEE802.11b/g/n, 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet.

And we must not forget the third-generation Dolby Home Theater, High-Definition Audio, accompanied by the front-facing built-in stereo speakers (5 W +5 W).

Given the large-size diagonal, carrying this thing around won't be an easy task, as the device measures approximately 496 × 549 × 129mm (minimum slope of display) up to 470 × 549 × 250mm (maximum slope of the display) and weighs a hefty 13kg.

The AZ3750-A34D will start shipping in Japan in December for the Yen equivalent of $840, but given Acer's overall policy, we're pretty sure that we'll get to see it on other markets as well, over the course of 2011.
