The Devastator Keyboard and Mouse Combo and QuickFire Rapid-i Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

Gaming peripherals don't really need the numpad, but some may disagree, so Cooler Master decided to avoid the issue entirely by introducing two keyboards, one with and one without the numpad.

Not that those are the only things you will find to be distinct between them. The Devastator Keyboard and QuickFire Rapid-i Mechanical Gaming Keyboard also have differently colored backlights, red and white, respectively.

Moreover, the CM Storm Devastator ships with a mouse, also colored black with red LED lighting. Multimedia keys are included in the keyboard as well, though they are lined alongside the upper egde, and they aren't all in the same, continuous row.

That said, the QuickFire Rapid-i is a keyboard that uses Cherry MX Blue switches, which were first introduced in 2007 and produce a deliberately loud click sound compared to Black and Red, or Brown ones. Good tactile feedback is present too.

Curiously, Cherry MX switches aren't ideal for gaming, since they have high weighting and aren't the best thing to double tap. Nevertheless, Cooler Master is marketing the QuickFire Rapid-i as a Mechanical Gaming Keyboard. Then again, the company already has a Rapid-i with Cherry MX Brown.

Other features of the QuickFire Rapid-i are a 32-bit ARM processor (controls the ActivLite responsive lighting technology), N-Key rollover (won't choke when pressing multiple keys at once), and the ability to set lighting on a Per-Key basis.

As for prices, the new Devastator ships for $30 / €30, while the QuickFire Rapid-i bears a tag of $149.99 / €149.99.
