Episodes of Comedy Central's Emmy and Peabody Award-winning series "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart" and hit series "The Colbert Report" are now available on the iTunes Music Store. The full episodes will become available the day after they air, like with all TV shows.
Episodes from the hit series can be downloaded for the usual price of $1.99, much like other
Comedy Central Shows that were previously available, such as "South Park," "Drawn Together" and "Comedy Central Stand-Up."
"We are excited that 'The Daily Show' and 'The Colbert Report' are now available to download on the iTunes Music Store," said Michele Ganeless, executive vice president and general manager, Comedy Central. "Fans of the most trusted names in fake news can now take Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert with them everywhere they go."
Comedy Central TV shows have so far been a great success on the iTunes Music Store, and the new offering will undoubtly be well received. Comedy Central is owned by Comedy Partners, a wholly-owned division of MTV Networks. It looks like even though MTV is preparing to launch its URGE service in partnership with Microsoft, it will not have a negative impact on the availability of Comedy Central content on the iTunes Music Store.
