Chrome Dev has been updated to version 16.0.899.0 for all major platforms, and this includes Chrome Frame as well. One of the major changes in this release is the updated V8 engine, to version 3.6.4.1.

Besides fixing many known stability issues, additional modifications common to all four platforms include fixing of an FTP compatibility issue. Also, the lag for JavaScript <audio> objects has been reduced because HTML5 now uses a faster method to communicate between host and renderer.

Platform-specific issues have also been dealt with. On Windows, pages can now receive Esc key events, while Mac users will notice an improvement to the multiuser avatar menu. As far as Linuzx is concerned, version 16.0.899.0 of Chrome Dev sees a fix for the compile error with Heimdal package.
