It is an all-black enclosure with a modular internal construction

Gamescom is a convention, a trade fair for video games held annually at the Hoelnmesse in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It's not just games that debut there though, but also PCs and PC parts.

After all, no games can run without good enough hardware, so hardware makers like to congregate and show their stuff.

Cooler Master doesn't have as big a stake in this segment as others, but it does have a solid grip on the slice it does possess, of coolers and cases.

In fact, the company has just launched one new gaming case, called Cooler Master Cosmos SE, part of the Cosmos S series.

Essentially, it is Cosmos S, but shrunk down to size, from tower to mid-tower.

We'd be tempted to call it a good LAN party option, given the handles on both sides of the top, similar to the two feet.

We don't doubt there are many who would find no harm in carrying it around from place to place, especially since a car is bound to be involved in the transport. That the product is made of aluminum instead of steel makes it extra light too.

Still, mid-tower is one or two sizes above the normal format of a LAN party case, so we suppose it qualifies more as a “standard” gaming chassis than a specialty item.

Anyway, the Cooler Master Cosmos SE has front HDD bays that can be removed, giving extra space to graphics cards.

It is possible to install radiators on the front too, of up to 360 mm. For that matter, a 240 mm radiator can be placed at the top of the newcomer as well.

The case is also wider than mid-towers usually are. Between that and the form factor itself, it makes cable management easier.

Finally, the Cooler Master Cosmos SE possesses a window on the side. Sadly, we don't know the price.
