Video game publisher Ubisoft has announced that it is creating a new game in the Call of Juarez series, called Gunslinger, which is set to take players back to the roots of the series and allow them to take part in some of the most interesting gunfights of the time.

The developers have confirmed that the game will include characters like Pat Garett, Jesse James and Billy the Kid, some of the most interesting outlaws of the American frontier, and gamers will have a chance to take each of them on.

The slow motion concentration mode that has stood at the heart of the series is set to return and in Gunslinger players will be able to actually use it to dodge the bullets that enemies fire.

The developers have not stated who is the main character of the new game.

Ubisoft has mentioned XBLA, the PSN and the PC as platforms for Call of Juarez: Gunslinger and the game lacks a launch date.
