Activision has revealed when new DLC will be released for owners of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on the PlayStation 3, confirming that those with Call of Duty Elite premium subscriptions will receive two new multiplayer maps and a Spec Ops mission on August 16.
Modern Warfare 3 has been heavily supported through all sorts of new maps and content by Activision and its various internal studios.
Now, after releasing new DLC
for the game on the Xbox 360, in the form of the Decommission and Offshore multiplayer maps, as well as the Vertigo Spec Ops mission, the company has confirmed that PS3 owners with Elite premium subscriptions will also get the new levels this month.
According to the company, they’ll all be available for download, free as always, on August 16 via the PlayStation Store.

Besides this new content, owners of Modern Warfare 3 on the PlayStation 3 are also set to receive the free Terminal map
on August 16, if they are Elite members, and August 17, if they’re regular players.
