Given the fact the USB 3.0 (SuperSpeed USB) interfaces will most likely become mainstream in the near future, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that everyone's starting to roll out USB 3.0 HDDs these days, including here A-Data.

So, the latest addition to the company's collection of USB 3.0 devices is the CH11 model, that offers users some pretty impressive storage capabilities, as well as a very high data transfer speed, all packed within a fairly attractive external case.

Similar to some of the other USB 3.0 HDDs available on the market, the new external storage units from A-Data can reach speeds of up to 90 MB/sec when connected to a suitable SuperSpeed port, but, in the same time, they're also backwards compatible with USB 2.0 interfaces.

Moreover, they provide plenty of storage space even for the avid multimedia consumer's needs, given the fact that A-Data plans to out three different models, coming in 500GB, 750GB and 1TB capacities (which is quite OK for an external, USB solution).

Furthermore, A-Data has also added somewhat of a design gimmick to their CH11 drives, namely a couple of custom labels, whose main feature is to allow users to label the drive contents in a fairly fast and easy manner.

Another interesting detail pointed out by A-Data is the fact that all of these units can also be used in a vertical position, which means that one won't really have to worry about such issues as the placement of these drives around the desk or office.

Sadly, the people over at A-Data have refrained from providing any specific pricing and/or availability information for their new CH11 USB 3.0 external HDDs, although they did mention the fact that the new storage solutions should arrive as soon as possible on the market, via the company's usual retail channels.
