There is a new build of Windows Vista Service Pack 1 around in parallel with the pre-beta release that shipped to testers in mid July and that was subsequently leaked to torrent trackers. Microsoft is yet to offer additional details on its plans related to Vista SP1 outside of the crumbs the company managed to leak. The public beta of Vista SP1 is expected by the end of 2007, with the final release apparently scheduled for the first half of 2008, sometime after the final launch of Windows Server 2008. And since Microsoft is hard at work to transition Vista to the kernel
version 6.1 of Windows Server 2008, it is only common sense that SP1 would drop after the RTM of Microsoft's last 32-bit server operating system formerly codenamed Longhorn.

And while Windows Vista Service Pack 1 Build 6001.16549 is widely available, or only accessible to a select group of testers according to Microsoft, AeroXP has stumbled around proof of yet another build of Vista SP1. Now, the full build tag of the pre-beta is 6001.16549.070628-1825. Still in the images included at the bottom you will be able to see a Windows Vista build 6429.fbl_multimedia_media.070514-1730. Speculations that this could be an internal alpha version of Windows 7 (Seven) or even Windows Vista Service Pack 2 are a little off. The rest of the screenshots are reference to Windows Vista 6.0. 6429.00 Service Pack 1.

So there are chances that this is simply a more evolved build of the first service pack for Vista. It is not unusual that Microsoft may be dogfooding various versions of the same product currently under development. And if we are speculating, the fact of the matter is that the "multimedia_media" reference makes me think of Windows Fiji. Alongside Vista SP1 Microsoft is also building the next version of Windows Media Center. This could possibly be a beta build of Windows Fiji that will be designed as a standalone product, planned for 2008 and sharing the architecture of Vista SP1.
