New Britney Spears Album to Include Lady Gaga, Shakira Duet

Though some may assume that, now that she's wrapped her Femme Fatale tour, Britney Spears will be taking some time off, new reports claim she's working on her next album, which, it seems, will include duets with Shakira or Lady Gaga.

According to various insiders cited by the Spanish version of E! News, Britney has already started work on her new studio album.

It will bring plenty of treats for fans, including one duet with Shakira and another one with Lady Gaga, or just one with either of them.

Either way, this could turn out even better than her collaboration with Madonna.

“Sources close to the record label of the Columbian singer inform that the duet is almost a certainty and will be produced by none other than will.i.am,” E! News reports.

And that's not all: Pharrell Williams of NERD is producing Spears' album – and he's also the one to tease Britney's fans about the possibility of a duet with Lady Gaga.

As per the same publication, he advanced the idea of including more famous collaborations of Britney's new album.

“I told Jive Records [Britney's record label] to bring to the studio Shakira or Lady Gaga, and they thought it was a fabulous idea. I want this to happen, I want an explosive duet, I will not rest until it's done,” he is quoted as saying.

As noted above, assuming that Britney would take some time off after promoting her latest album was logical, especially considering that she just got engaged at the end of last year, in Vegas, to longtime friend and boyfriend Jason Trawick.

Reports online claim that the two are planning a very low-key, drama-free wedding, which will take place either on Valentine's Day or in late summer but they are yet to say anything on the record about that.

Insiders also claim that the wedding ceremony will be very intimate, with only good friends and family members being invited.
