14 DAY TRIAL // Over the weekend, Jennifer Lawrence and 100 other female stars were targeted in an iCloud hack that saw their intimate and mostly nude photos from Apple’s backup service leaked online. She is said to be “horrified” by the incident, thinking it could put a dent in her career, but her new boyfriend Chris Martin isn’t worried about that.
The Oscar-winning actress and the Coldplay rocker have been dating since this summer, according to reports, but they’re yet to make their relationship public. However, insiders vouch that things are going very well and that there might even be a future for these two as a couple.
As per insiders speaking to HollywoodLife, Chris and Jennifer are totally infatuated with each other and he’s determined to stand by her side during this difficult time. He knows it wasn’t her fault that she got hacked and he is very supportive of her right now, when her personal photos were released to the public without her consent.
“Chris doesn’t care that Jennifer took naked pics of herself, he’s more concerned that her privacy was invaded,” a source reveals for the e-zine. “The whole thing is disturbing and Chris has just been very supportive.”
Well, obviously. There’s still some doubt as to whether these two are an item, but let’s just assume for the sake of argument that they are: any man or woman who would dump another person for finding themselves in a situation like Jennifer is in right now, when her only “fault” is that of taking selfies without a top on, is not a man or woman you want to have by your side for longer than a summer fling.
In other words, even assuming this tipster is on the money with this bit of intel, what they’re saying about Chris is exactly the kind of behavior you would expect from any grown up partner. All you need to do is consider how Chris handled questions on his divorce from Gwyneth Paltrow earlier this year to know that this is a man who has nothing but respect for a partner and their privacy.
So of course he’s worried, and of course he’s not even thinking of dumping Jennifer for something she did years ago, when she snapped those photos that got leaked a few days ago.
“He would never end things with Jennifer over something like this,” the insider continues. “It will pass, that’s what he tells her. And he just uses his quirky sense of humor to help her look at the funny side. They both do a lot of laughing together, which is what really attracted them to each other in the first place.”
