A new trailer for “The Bourne Legacy” has been released and, unlike the previous one, it goes to great lengths to tie in with the other 3 films starring Matt Damon. Check it out in full above.

This time, it's Jeremy Renner who plays the memory-challenged spy who takes on the entire system in a bid to get his life back, but that's not to say the film aims to have him walk in Matt Damon's shoes.

On the contrary, as the trailer will confirm. As promised, this fourth Bourne-less Bourne film is a continuation of the other three, but a different project from them as well.

We've already seen Jeremy Renner do amazing work in “The Hurt Locker,” “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol” and “The Avengers,” and, by the looks of the new trailer, he will not disappoint in “The Bourne Legacy” either.

The film also stars Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Stacy Keach and Oscar Isaac, and will be out in theaters on August 3.
