A new poster for “Bel Ami,” the period drama starring Robert Pattinson, Uma Thurman, Kristin Scott Thomas, and Christina Ricci, has just been released. Click on the image above to see it in full.
Since Pattinson, known to audiences mostly for his role as sparkly vampire in Summit's “Twilight Saga,” plays the leading part, that of a heartbreaker and player who uses
his appeal to women to climb on the social ladder, it makes sense to have him front and center in the new pic.
In the background are the three ladies who will help him achieve social status and fame, as played by Thurman, Thomas and Ricci.
“George Duroy (Robert), a young journalist, rises from poverty to become one of the most successful men in Paris via the ruthless and calculating bedding of the city's most glamorous and influential women,” reads a short synopsis of the film.
“Bel Ami” is, of course, based on the 1885 French novel of the same name by Guy de Maupassant. It will be out in theaters in the UK on March 2, 2012.
