Witches can fall in love as well, even when they must choose between good and evil

Some time ago, when the first trailer for “Beautiful Creatures” came out, not few were those who said that it bore somewhat of a resemblance to “Twilight,” whose final installment, “Breaking Dawn Part 2” is now out in theaters.

The latest trailer will only reinforce that impression: this could totally be a “new Twilight,” albeit a better done, more dramatic one.

Based on the novel of the same name by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, “Beautiful Creatures” stars Alice Englert and Alden Ehrenreich as to star-crossed lovers, one a witch, the other a mere mortal.

The witch’s time as a human is coming to an end and she must decide which side to take: will she give herself to the darkness within or will she put up a fight and strive to be good.

Also starring as witches of various degrees of evilness are Emmy Rossum, Emma Thompson and Jeremy Irons. The film will be out on February 13, 2013.
