Earlier today, a leak of code linked to the launch of a new version of the Battlelog service allowed fans of the Battlefield series to get some unconfirmed information about the next title in the franchise, which is rumored to be called SWAT.

Another fan of the series has dug deeper into the data and has found an official logo that's associated with the video game and it seems to suggest that the name is actually Hardline, which would be in-line with the BFH official site that fans discovered earlier.

There are also new details on the badges that gamers who play the next Battlefield will be able to earn.

It seems that even if the official name is Hardline the theme of the first-person shooter will involve Special Weapons and Tactics teams that will have to battle a criminal faction on smaller, more tense maps.

Development is apparently being handled by Visceral Games, the creators of Dead Space, in conjunction with Ghost Games and the title could be launched as soon as this fall, probably on the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, the PC and current-gen devices.

Neither the developers not the team at Electronic Arts have commented on the leak or talked officially about the future of Battlefield.
