New Batman: Arkham City Trailer Shows Off Robin Gameplay

A new trailer from retailer Gamestop has shown off how Robin, the sidekick of the Dark Knight, will play in the upcoming Batman: Arkham City.

Robin will not appear in the main story based mode in Batman: Arkham City but players will be able to become the sidekick during a number of challenge rooms.

Arkham City is already filled with a number of well known characters from the comic books, including Catwoman, the Riddler, the Joker, the Penguin and Two Face.

This Batman game is more open than the previous one in the series and is based upon the same close combat mechanics.

The new Batman video game will be launched on the Xbox 360 from Microsoft and the PlayStation 3 from Sony on October 18 in North America and three days later in Europe.

A version for the PC will arrive in November while a Nintendo Wii U version is planned for 2012.
