A brand new gameplay video for Assassin's Creed Unity has been released by Ubisoft, focusing on the new engine that powers the upcoming action adventure experience.

Assassin's Creed Unity, the next-gen iteration in the series made by Ubisoft, brings a huge variety of improvements over the previous entries in the franchise, from a new protagonist and a new historical setting to the cooperative mode that's embedded into the story.

In a brand new gameplay video, Ubisoft has decided to show off the new engine that powers Assassin's Creed Unity and how it can drastically overhaul the whole experience in terms of visuals but also in terms of actual gameplay.

In the clip below, you can also hear from Unity Creative Director Alex Amancio, who walks players through the many features in the game that are owed to the new engine and visual technology.

The Notre Dame cathedral is also showcased in all its glory, with Amancio emphasizing that it took a whole year to design and ensure perfect recreation of the iconic Parisian landmark.

The entire video is quite impressive to watch and should certainly get people excited about the upcoming release of Assassin's Creed Unity this October for PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms.
