The next installment in Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed franchise is set to receive its first official details in the "next few months," at least according to art director Mohamed Gambouz.

The Assassin's Creed series has been growing exponentially with the last two releases, Assassin's Creed 2 and Brotherhood, so Ubisoft has already confirmed that it will be releasing a new title this year.

As you can imagine, this kicked off some rampant speculations about where it will take place and what sort of new things it will introduce.

All these rumors will be put to rest soon, as Ubisoft Art Director Mohamed Gambouz talked with German media, via HookedGamers, about the next Assassin's Creed game.

"Well, I personally would do something completely new," he said. "Maybe something in an Asian or South American setting, at least nothing that we have already made. But in the end it's not my decision. But you can be sure that we read the reactions of our customers in forums, blogs and Facebook and Twitter very closely and also seriously talk through the suggestions from our players from time to time. In the next few months you will truly experience more details."

Considering that we're months away from a reveal, it's pretty obvious that Ubisoft will be announcing the game at the E3 conference in Los Angeles, set to take place between June 7 and 9, at the beginning of this summer.

Ubisoft is certain to take the Assassin's Creed franchise into a new setting with the next game, as the previous title, Brotherhood, only expanded on the events from the second title, continuing the adventure of Ezio Auditore.

Fans of the franchise shouldn't be afraid of the company exploiting the series, as Ubisoft said that its worldwide studios are working together to get the game finished in just one year since the release of the last one.
