AppleInsider reports that Scotland's first Apple Premium Reseller outlet in Glasgow will be ready soon. This will be followed some time down the road by one of Apple Computer's own retail shops.

The Scotsys premium retail outlet, which will open to the public on Saturday November 4th at 164 Great Western Road in Glasgow, will mimic the shopping experience of Apple's own retail stores by showcasing the full line of Apple Macs and iPods in a customer-friendly environment, Slash Lane writes.

The store will feature the ability to test-drive the company's newly designed MacBook and MacBook Pro, as well as a lineup of iPods.

Plans for the first Apple-run retail store in Glasgow are also coming to a head this week. As first hinted in an AppleInsider report for earlier in the year, the Cupertino, Calif.-based Mac maker has been shopping for as many as 20 additional UK-based retail store fronts.

At the same time, MacNN.com writes about an authorized retailer in Beijing. This is the largest Mac and iPod store in China's capital and it just opened its doors.

The new store spans two floors, with retail items residing mostly on the ground floor. The upstairs is divided between a support center and a classroom suitable for user groups and events. The new store is located in the heart of the Beijing CBD near Guomao Bridge, which is home to the China World Trade Center.

New retail store was also reported by MacMinute to be opened today (1st Nov). The new store would have its home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The new store is located at 2240 Q Street NE and will be open to the public at 10:00 a.m. local time.

Here, Apple has prepared some pretty nice surprises for the customers.

Apple will give away an Apple T-shirt to the first 1,000 people to visit the store. In addition, the company is offering a Grand Opening Sweepstakes during the opening weekend to win a suite of Apple products valued at over US$2,500 or one of ten one-year ProCare memberships valued at $99. The grand prize Apple product prize package includes a black 13-inch 2.0GHz Intel Core Duo MacBook, a one-year membership to ProCare, a silver iPod 4GB iPod nano, an iPod Hi-Fi, a one-year .Mac membership, iWork software, and a MacBook AppleCare Protection Plan. Plus, ten first prize winners will receive a one-year ProCare membership. No purchase is necessary, MacMinute writes.
