14 DAY TRIAL // It looks like a new firmware update is available for Sony Ericsson Xperia arc devices. Although the handset manufacturer has yet to unveil the update's change log, reports claim that it only adds several bug fixes.
According to the guys over at XperiaBlog, Sony Ericsson Xperia firmware 4.0.2.A.0.42 is now being deployed to all Xperia arc devices in multiple countries.
Based on users feedback, the update is now reportedly available for download in Germany, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria and Egypt.
However, Xperia arc owners who live in other countries might soon get the minor update as well, which should bring their phones' firmware to version 4.0.2.A.0.42.
On related news, Sony Ericsson has already confirmed that it will bring all its Xperia series devices launched in 2011 to Android Gingerbread, and, starting next year, to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
