An anonymous source claims that the newly revealed Alien: Isolation video game will be a space-based horror experience that will feature the daughter of the well-known Ellen Ripley, who was the protagonist of the movie series.

Kotaku quotes the person familiar with the development process as saying that The Creative Assembly, a studio best known for Total War, is handling development duties for the new experience.

Amanda Ripley has not yet been featured in any other Aliens-branded experience.

She will need to battle just one alien but will also have to deal with soldiers and clones.

The game will use a first-person shooter structure, but will also include stealth and horror elements and is inspired by titles like BioShock, from Irrational Games, and Dishonored, from Arkane.

Publisher SEGA has taken into account all the feedback it has received after Aliens: Colonial Marines was launched and is determined to deliver a title that shows off the best aspects of the series.
