Alcatel is one of the handset vendors rumored to plan the release of Windows Phone handsets, and the company’s first device to run under the OS has emerged online in a series of new images.

Based on Windows Phone 7.8, the forthcoming update to WP 7.5, the new device would arrive on shelves with a 4″ IPS WVGA display and a 1 GHz Single-Core Qualcomm MSM7227A processor, while measuring 124.2 x 64.2 x 10.75 mm, info coming from Russian website Hi-Tech.Mail.ru suggests.

The new photos with the handset (coming from Alcatel Russia) also appear to confirm its marketing name, Alcatel One Touch View, yet no specific info on its availability has been provided as of yet.

Chances are that Alcatel will announce the new smartphone before the end of the year, in time for the release of the new platform version from Microsoft.
