14 DAY TRIAL // In the upcoming week, we should expect to see more and more Acer products make an appearance online, as the “A Touch More Connected” event, scheduled for April 29 in New York, gets closer and closer.
Two new Acer notebooks, the Aspire E3 and TravelMate B115 have made their way online, showing their designs and budget-friendly pricing specifications, MobileGeeks informs.
The laptops are both targeted at corporate and casual users, but in terms of overall specifications, they are pretty similar. The Acer Aspire E3 is the more joyful of the two, boasting a pink paint job (but also blue, brown or silver), while the TravelMate B115 arrives in classic black.
Both laptops come with an 11.6-inch screen and 1366 x 768 pixel resolution plus a touchscreen. Customers choosing an Aspire E3 notebook will find there’s a dual-core Intel Celeron N2830 (based on Bay Trail) clocked at 2.16GHz in standard mode and 2.42GHz in burst-mode, under the hood.
As for the TravelMate B115, customers have a choice between the aforementioned Celeron processor, but also an Intel Pentium N3520 with the same clock speeds. The lappy is fitted with 4GB of RAM and 500GB hard disk.
Acer is touting a new design with these new models, which is called “Flow Curve.” Also note that the laptops have no fan.
Other functionalities you should expect to see with the new notebooks include Ethernet port, N-WLAN, SD card reader, two USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0 ports, HDMI output and VGA out (?).
Customers interested in these new products, should expect the models to drop somewhere around May, but some dealers will apparently be offering them as soon as next week. The default operating system is 64-bit Windows 8.1 for both laptops.
Acer is expected to hold an event next week in New York. The device manufacturer will probably launch a host of new products and some of them have already shown their faces.
Earlier today, we told you about a new tablet in the B-series, which should arrive with an Intel processor. The new laptops outline above could also be part of the event.
