The modules and kits come in slightly slower versions as well

Here is a series of memory modules and kits that will make DDR4 seem only a bit more awesome than DDR3: ARES DDR3-3000.

Released by Apacer, the new modules are actually clocked at 3226 MHz, as shown back at Computex Taipei.

Not bad for 8 GB (4 GBx2) and 16 GB kits (8 GBx2) if I do say so myself.

The memory will certainly make a great pair with 4th Gen Intel Core Processors and motherboards based on the Z87 chipset, although AMD's APUs and FM2/FM2+ mainboards will benefit just as much.

Overclocking is certain to work well too. No point in the memory being so fast and not cover that facet after all.

Apacer has prepared 2800 MHz, 2933 MHz, and other specifications as well.

All of the modules come with special heatspreaders made of two sections, with the second heatspreader suspended above the first by a heatpipe.

Sadly, prices haven't been revealed, but stores should list the new product soon.
