Since CES is underway already, every attending company is unleashing at least one new device, and AOC figured it was time to bring out some certain displays that feature both advanced capabilities and design assets.
AOC did not just unveil a new monitor or HDTV, what it did was create displays that not only can handle any and all types of videos, but have other advantages as well.
One of them goes by the name of AOC 2436Vwz and and uses the liquid crystal display (LCD) technology.
AOC did
issue a press release, but did not actually provide many specifications beyond the support for full HD videos (resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels).
All it mentioned was the screen size of 23.6 inches and the support for 3D, meaning that the refresh rate is at least 120 Hz, plus the existence of VGA, DVI-HDCP and USB 2.0 connectors.
“Thanks to the quick response time, even the fastest action scenes can be displayed without delays,” says the announcement, but the exact number is not provided.
Oddly enough, HDMI connectivity is absent. On the other hand, the non-3D but very slim AOC i2353Fh has two such ports.
The most noteworthy asset of this second product, as far as design goes at least, is the thickness of just 9.6 mm, which also makes the newcomer surprisingly light for a 23.6-inch device.
Another thing one can distinguish is the uncanny ability of the stand to bend backwards, allowing the display to actually be placed on walls, or so the photos suggest.
This model is supposedly “suitable as the ultimate design statement for both office and home.”
To these two are added the AOC e2450Pa line of business displays, as well as the 43ID series so-called “lifestyle displays.”
Unfortunately, the company was just as silent when it came to the performance numbers of these two collections as well.
