DisplaySearch has posted a new forecast covering upcoming display tech for 2014, basically speculating about what kinds of screens will see the light of day this year.

Interestingly enough, the research firms seems to believe that AMOLED screen tablets will make a come-back on the market in 2014. This is in accordance with recent rumors that previously claimed Samsung was gearing up to release a couple of AMOLED tablets this year. Nevertheless, we've seen nothing of the sort at CES 2014.

Specifically, DisplaySearch says we're going to see 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch AMOLED display tablets arrive on the market and that’s exactly what Samsung is expected to be working on.

Sammy has also been rumored to be hard at work on the next Nexus 10 tablet, so the 10.5-inch AMOLED tablet might turn out to be the elusive tablet we have been waiting on for months.

DisplaySearch also speculates the next iPad will have a 12.9-inch screen with a resolution 2732 x 2048 pixel density.

However, take this information with a grain of salt, as DisplaySearch’s David Hseih advises himself.

“Not all of the panels listed here will go into mass production, as panel maker strategies can change.”
