Wireless routers have really managed to reach mainstream status over the past couple of years, with new, dual-band products now taking center stage, as is the case with the brand-new product of this type from Intellinet, namely the Wireless 450N Dual-Band Gigabit Router.

To be perfectly honest, as far as the external design is concerned, the new Intellinet Wireless 450N Dual-Band Gigabit Router is far from what we'd call impressive, the device having few features to help it stand out from the crowd (apart perhaps from the three antennas placed on its rear side).

Nevertheless, the aforementioned antennas have a much more important role (apart from the aesthetic one, of course), given the fact that this 3T3R antenna design, coupled with Wireless-N technology, will manage to increase both the signal strength and the range of the network created by this wireless routers.

Given the fact that most Wi-Fi enabled IT products and consumer electronics released on the market lately work either on the 2.4 GHz band (used by portable handsets, Bluetooth devices and other devices) or on the less-uncluttered 5 GHz band, the router from Intellinet supports both of them, used alternately for various applications, whether we're talking about VoIP calls, accessing online games, browsing the Web or streaming HD content.

Moreover, the wireless router has also been equipped with four Gigabit ports, that can be used for adding a variety of network-capable machines, including NAS units, printers or gaming consoles, while its level of functionality is further boosted by the possibility of acting as a wireless repeater or access point, need-be.

Unfortunately, for the time being, no specific details regarding the pricing or availability of this new router from Intellinet have been provided, but we'll try our best in order to come back with those important pieces of information as soon as possible.
