That means that smartphones, tablets, portable media players, MP3 players, walkmans and any other things with USB support can live off the power channeled through this hub.
Given the support for both Apple Mac OSX and Microsoft operating systems (Windows 98, SE, ME, 2000, XP, Vista, 7 and 8), that leads up to quite a lot of products.
Of course, it will fall to said products to make the best of that 5 Gbps potential transfer speed.
The second product, the SDDS-1000 compact memory card reader and writer, communicates over USB 3.0 and reads UDMA CompactFlash, SDXC and SD UHS-I (SD 3.0) card formats, plus other common types of flash media like M2, micro SD-T, SDHC, SD, SDXC, MINI-SD, MMC, X-Card, MS PRO, DUO, PRO DUO-compact flash.
That leaves us with just the SDPS-1000 dual USB car charger, which can replenish the energy of iPhones, iPads, Android-based smartphone sand tablets, mini and micro USB gadgets, etc.
Sera Digital even ships the new products with several cables that extend the compatibility to e-readers, gaming consoles, etc. There is even built-in protection circuitry (prevents damage from circuit currents, overvoltage spikes, overloading, overheating, etc.). DC input voltages can be of 12-24V. Outputs are of 3.1A at 5V DC via 2 USB ports.
Sera Digital wants $24.95 / €18.49 in exchange for each one of its new inventions.
