Futuremark announces that the release date for the new 3Dmark benchmarking software for Windows has been set for Monday, February 4.

The new release mixes together a set of in-app features with online web services in order to provide a better understanding of your hardware performance. It includes three new tests (Fire Strike, Ice Storm and Cloud Gate) designed for high-performance gaming PCs as well as typical home PCs and notebooks.

When the versions for mobile platforms are released, users will be able to compare the scores with Android, iOS and Windows RT devices as well, thus making 3DMark the benchmark tool for all hardware and devices.

The fresh build features interactive performance graphs that allow you to zoom in, pan and focus on a specific part of the benchmark.
