MakerBot will have a direct rival sooner rather than later

3D printers have been causing lots of waves these days. 2013 proved to be a very good year for them. There are even 3D printed cartridges now.

Companies are already making a name for themselves by creating and selling 3D printers, or making 3D-printed products.

MakerBot is the best known name at this time. The company even made a 3D scanner not long ago.

Soon, however, some direct competition will show up, in the shape of a company called Kinpo Electronics.

According to certain parties, Kinpo will release own-brand 3D printers in Taiwan, for entry-level and mid-range customers. It will make software too.

It will also promote its products through channel operators and in overseas markets with sales agent companies. If all goes well, it will establish itself in two or three years.
