Given the fact that the amount of content available for smartphone owners nowadays is quite impressive, the need for extra storage space becomes more and more dire, and that's exactly the reason why Silicon Power has just officially released yet another addition to their series of microSHDC memory cards, this time delivering quite an impressive storage capacity (for such a product), namely 32GB. And if you're wondering just what that means when “translated” into just how many files you can store on this new memory card, you should know that we're talking about over 9000 photos, nearly 500 minutes of full HD videos, more than 6000 songs and thousands of files, while the card also offers quite an impressive level of durability, supporting a minimum of 10,000 insertions.

It's also important that the tiny (15mm x 11 mm x 1mm, 0.6 grams) memory card is a Class4 storage device that complies with the SD Card Association card specifications, while also supporting some very interesting extra features, such as a mechanical write protection switch on SD adapter (when used together with one) and Content Protection for Recordable Media (CPRM), while also providing a security level that complies with Secure Digital Music Initiative (SDMI).

In fact, since we've reached the topic of adapters, we'll also have to mention that, in addition to microSDHC single pack, Silicon Power provides two more choices: SD Adapter pack and SD & miniSD Adapters pack, the latter being without, the most versatile, as it enables the 32GB memory card to be used in just about all of the devices supporting the SDHC format, including digital cameras and camcorders.

Sadly, pricing and availability details for the new 32GB microSDCH memory card from Silicon Power have not yet been provided, but we hope that the company will come back with these important bits and pieces of information in the immediate future.
