Equipped with a high-contrast IPS LCD, it uses LED and PWM

27-inch monitors really seem to be getting released constantly these days, with or without 3D support. BenQ has the latest such monitor ready.

Called GW2760HS, the newcomer is actually quite impressive, with its viewing angles of 178 degrees, Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels), LED backlighting and contrast ratio of 3,000:1 (regardless of the dynamic contrast ratio, the static CR is usually of 1,000:1).

In fact, BenQ equipped the LCD with PWM (pulse-width modulation), which increases or decreases brightness by adjusting the time between the pulses of energy sent to the diodes.

Add to that analogue measures of voltage control (flicker-free illumination) and a slim bezel and there shouldn't be any reason not to buy this monitor over others.

Sadly, while the info on BenQ's monitor did become public knowledge, down to the video inputs (HDMI, DBVI and D-Sub), the pricing and availability did not.
