LED backlights are common these days, but even they come in various qualities. BenQ chose one of the easiest on the eyes when it made the 27-inch EW2740L monitor.

Which is to say, it installed a Flicker-free backlight, which reduces eye fatigue. Sure, the flickers are invisible to the naked eye, but watch a video of a normal monitor and you'll see the refresh rate.

The Flicker-free backlight minimizes that flickering, reducing eye strain considerably.

Other than that, the BenQ 27-inch monitor has a contrast of 3,000:1, a response time of 4ms (GTG), resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, brightness of 300 cd/m2, and the Low Blue Light technology, which cuts down on blue light exposure, increasing comfort.

BenQ's EW2740L should be good for those long all-nighters when you simply must finish that paper or project. All for €309 / $418. D-Sub and dual HDMI connectors are available.
