14 DAY TRIAL // Just after releasing 1Password 3.0.5 to the public, Agile Web Solutions was faced with having to fix an additional four bugs. While it was at it, the company was able to boost performance as well, making the update worthy of customers’ attention.
“This update improves performance and fixes several issues reported in the previous version,” Agile Web Solutions says on its website. The version history shows that 1Password is currently at version number 3.0.7 (build #30517). Changes in this version include the aforementioned bug fixes, which Agile Web Solutions lists as follows:
- Fixed crash that could happen shortly after adding a new folder. - Fixed sidebar selection problem when creating new items with a tags folder selected. - Fixed problem renaming tags folder to an empty name. - Fixed missing key icon in the browser menubar.
Earlier this week, the developers maintaining 1Password revealed that version 3.0.5 (build #30507) included improvements in search and startup performance, made Restore from Backup more reliable, and added German and Russian localizations, while fixing several bugs. The company also said that it had completely changed the internal 1Password packaging to enable an easy product localization, and more.
For those who haven’t updated to 1Password 3 yet, the software requires the Agile Keychain data format. Users are required to make sure they upgrade their 1Password data to the new format before installing 1Password 3. 1Password starts at $39.95 – single-user license. A Family license costs $59.95. The software is licensed on a per-person basis (a single license can be used by one person on as many Macs as they can afford), in order to reduce the total cost of the ownership.
