Agile Web Solutions has issued an update for buyers of its popular password manager and form filler, 1Password. Available exclusively to Mac users, the program sports built-in, anti-phishing and keylogger protection. Using 1Password, Mac owners can easily manage hundreds of passwords with a single, master key.

“This is a beta so you should expect missing polish and bugs,” Agile says on the page reserved for 1Password Beta notes. “If testing unreleased products and reporting issues is not your idea of fun, you should wait for the final 1Password 3 release. Those who decide to help test should backup all data before upgrading. If you want to be on the cutting edge and enjoy reporting issues, come on in!” the team developing the popular password manager and form filler says. 1Password Version 3.0.0 Beta 84 brings the following changes:

- Added Sync to Logins Bookmarklet (iPhone Logins Bookmarklet) option.
- Added File > Export to Encrypted Web Page option.
- Increased label column width for wallet items to fix overlapping text problems.
- Do not use double-click in notes fields to switch to edit mode.
- Replaced aqua look of column headers with better matching theme.
- Made sure item attachments can be edited in the browser.
- Can now delete objects when editing from the browser.
- Fixed numerous attachment view problems under Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.

1Password 3 requires the Agile Keychain data format, according to the company. Users are required to make sure they upgrade their 1Password data to the new format before installing 1Password 3. 1Password works seamlessly in modern web browsers like Apple’s Safari, as well as Firefox, Camino, and Flock, while extensions don't compromise its functionality. Best of all, 1Password stores all your information into the built-in Keychain. There is also a mobile version of the application. The iPhone client, appropriately named 1Password Touch, securely stores a website’s names and passwords.
