If you have grown tired of looking through ASUS' long list of Eee PC netbooks or if for some reason you aren't pleased with what Acer has to offer, maybe it's time to look somewhere else. Just recently, Kohjinsha has released a new ultraportable computer system that has everything it needs to compete in the fast-growing market for Atom-powered netbooks. Starting with a 10-inch display, the new netbook from Kohjinsha could just be what you were looking for in a netbook system.

As far as technical specifications go, the Kohjinsha MT6WX16AR has little if anything new to offer. The system is based on the all-too-familiar Intel Atom processor platform, featured in the majority of netbooks currently available on the market. The 1.6GHz N270 processor is coupled with 1GB of RAM memory (expandable to 2GB) and a traditional hard disk drive that is ready to provide you with as much as 160GB of storage space. The 10.1-inch display supports a resolution of 1024 x 576 and is powered by Intel's integrated 945GSE Express chipset.

Fortunately, Kohjinsha decided to add at least one feature that you aren't likely to find on most of its competitors on the market. According to the specifications of this thing, users will be able to take advantage of a 1Seg TV tuner, a feature that could raise the interest in the company's 10-inch netbook.

Aside from the specs mentioned above, the new 10-inch netbook from Kohjinsha also offers the much necessary WiFi, Ethernet and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity options, a 1.3MP webcam, a 3-in-1 card reader and ExpressCard/34 load. The system comes equipped with a Windows XP Home SP3 operating system and comes at a starting price of $499. Unfortunately we have no details as to when the netbook will become available, but we are assuming it's going to be sooner rather than later.
