Neverwinter Nights 2 is shaping
up pretty nicely from what's been shown at E3 this year. Unfortunately for all those who are eagerly anticipating the game Atari brings some bad news: the RPG isn't going to make its September release.
"Given the sheer size and scope of Neverwinter Nights 2 and its 50 to 60-hour single player campaign, it was decided to move the global release date of Neverwinter Nights 2 out a month to late October. This extra time is invaluable as it allows fine tuning and polishing of both the single and multiplayer experiences to ultimately deliver a game that exceeds the tremendous expectations of the Neverwinter Nights fanbase," reads an official company statement.
Look on the bright side of it however; the more it gets tested, the less bugs we are likely to see when it comes out. I would rather see it delayed than constantly have to pour patches into it, like in so many games of late. Let us hope the extra month of polish gets put to good use by the developers.
