“Storage Wars” star David Hester is taking producers to court for firing him, claims show is rigged

In December last year, David Hester, former star of A&E’s reality series “Storage Wars,” took the producers to court over claims of wrongful termination. The network has just scored a first win in the case, The Hollywood Reporter informs.

As we also informed you at the time, Hester claimed that the show was rigged and he was fired when he tried to blow the whistle.

He doesn’t have enough proof for saying that the series is scripted, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Johnson has ruled.

As for the claim of wrongful termination, Hester must be “more specific” for the judge to consider it.

“The judge also dismissed Hester's claim of wrongful termination of employment in violation of public policy but allowed Hester to revive the claim with more specificity as to the provision within the Communications Act of 1934 that he believes his firing violated,” THR says.

A&E has responded to the suit by saying that Hester is just looking to turn his departure from the show into tabloid fodder because he’s too bitter.
