Netrunner, a GNU/Linux distribution based on Kubuntu, featuring KDE as the default desktop and integrating many GNOME/GTK+ programs to make it Ubuntu compatible, is now at version 4.0.

It's not clear what Linux kernel the new Netrunner 4.0 is using, but we're guessing is still 2.6.35-25. There isn't many information available about the new version, but the developers have stated that Netrunner 4.0, dubbed Dryland, is feature complete.

According to the developers, Netrunner 4.0 Linux distribution comes with network-manager-kde and network-manager-gnome on board, for testing purposes. Users are asked to use GNOME only as a fallback for Wi-Fi.
